My name is Rachel Clawson. I am on the Board of Directors for the Interfaith Leadership Council of Metro Detroit and currently serve as the public affairs director for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in our area.
I am married with five children. I grew up in Highland, Utah in a very faith-filled home. I have lived the last eleven years in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan surrounded by a beautifully diverse cultural and religious landscape. We recently returned from an incredible year abroad in England and had an amazing experience exploring Europe as a family. I graduated in 2008 from Brigham Young University with a degree in History. I am a huge fan of music, history, world religions and cake.
In July 2017 I started ‘Celebrate Faiths’ with a threefold mission:
- Gather information about other faiths (ie. history, culture, practices, etc.)
- Gather people of other faiths together in understanding and goodwill
- Gather a personal increase in my faith through diverse interactions with the divine.
I hope you will find the content of this website helpful in your own quest for understanding.
